• I believe leadership is not about being the center of performance—it’s about designing the systems, culture, and environment that enable teams to perform at a high level, consistently and independently.

This philosophy, which I call Leadership by Design, has shaped my approach to building customer-centric service organizations across complex, global environments.

My leadership foundation was formed early through my service in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned that trust, accountability, and clarity of purpose are what turn individuals into high-performing teams. Those principles continue to guide how I lead today.

Building sustainable, customer-centric organizations requires more than a strong foundation and operational excellence. It requires staying connected to the science our customers rely on and the technologies shaping how we serve them. This is part of what I mean by “Design” in Leadership by Design—an intentional commitment to staying relevant to both the customer and the context in which they operate.

To stay grounded in both, I’ve continued formal study in genetics and genomics through Stanford University and AI strategy through Cornell University—ensuring that the systems I design are not only effective today, but aligned with where our industry is going.

I focus on creating the conditions where teams closest to the customer are empowered, aligned, and equipped to succeed—because the greatest value in any organization is created in that moment of customer interaction.

The strongest organizations are not built on heroic leadership, but on scalable systems, shared accountability, and trust that is earned through consistent action

  • My perspective on leadership has also been shaped by a diverse personal journey. I was born in Venezuela to Argentine parents who were exiled during the military dictatorship, grew up in Israel during periods of conflict, and later completed my education in the United States.

These experiences exposed me early to different cultures, perspectives, and challenges, shaping how I connect with people and approach leadership. They reinforced the importance of resilience, adaptability, and the ability to understand and engage with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.

Today, this translates into a leadership approach that values diverse perspectives, fosters trust across teams, and creates environments where people feel empowered to contribute and perform at their best.

  • Outside of work, I stay grounded through activities that reinforce both discipline and perspective. I enjoy playing soccer, spending time on nature trails, and reading books and articles focused on personal development and organizational design. I also value travel as a way to explore different cultures and languages to broaden my understanding of people and how they experience the world.
